The Proceedings of the 2026 edition of the Conference are now available for download by clicking on the relating thumbnails at the bottom of this page. Alternatively, you can download individual volumes and individual scientific contributions from the proceedings from the Congresos de la Universitat Politècnica de València repository.

There is now a page from which you can download the Programme and General Information Booklet for the Conference. On the same page, you will also find scientific publications on the Domus Aurea, the destination of the guided tour on 21 February 2026.

On the Thematic Areas page, templates are now available for each topic to be used for formatting your oral presentations.

In addition, a Keynote Speakers page has been added, presenting the main presentations at the Conference.

Finally, we remind you that all communications (including evaluation results and any other news) will be sent to the email address you provided when uploading your contribution.

FORTMED 2026 is the International Conference dedicated to the fortifications of the Mediterranean Sea, now in its ninth edition in 2026, following previous events held in Valencia, Florence, Alicante, Turin, Granada, Pisa, Tirana, and Caserta.

The conference will be held on 19, 20, and 21 February 2026 at Sapienza University of Rome, Rome (Italy) and will be organised by the Department of History, Representation, and Restoration of Architecture (Dipartimento di Storia, Disegno e Restauro dell'Architettura - DSDRA).
